St. Paul choir wedding bells Be the first to comment!

This Saturday, we witness God's love manifested between two instrumental people in Our Parish.

The bride to be has actually served our parish by singing in the choir from the time she was being carried in the womb till date and is just not about to give up serving her church for as long as she lives.

Francis-MaryThe groom has actively served our parish for over 15 years supporting HIV affected persons through one of our church's projects, Reach Out Mbuya and has served his choir in its top most positions for over 10 years.

The two are both active members of St. Paul choir Mbuya  which sings during the 11 o’clock mass every Sunday, with the groom (Francis Onyango) having served as Secretary and Chairman of the choir in the previous regimes and currently is the Public Relations Officer.

The bride (Mary Adoo) has served St. Paul choir as one of the music directors in the previous regimes and currently she leads the Soprano voice and is one of the trainers.

Members of St. Paul choir recognize the support the couple has contributed towards its growth and sustenance most especially that by the groom who has played a very big role in promoting the choir to the neighboring East African states. The choir today participates and is among the pioneers and organizers of the Annual East African community Festivals which was last staged in Rwanda last year.

St. Paul choir also recognizes the efforts of the families from which the couple hails. Both Parents of the Bride are pioneers of the choir and till date are still serving the choir through singing and form the team of advisers of the choir.

The father of the groom, Mr. Daniel Nokrach Odongo has served as the Patron of the choir for over eight years and has supported and promoted this choir in all its activities. The choristers extend their appreciation for the love he has shown by being there at all times during the good and bad.

St. Paul choir this year celebrates four weddings of its members. Two have already taken place that is Denis and Victoria in Mbuya parish on 10th May 2014 and Frank Young and Judith at Uganda Martyrs parish in Mbarara on 17th May, 2014. Francis and Mary will be wedding this Saturday 31st May, 2014 at 3.00pm in Mbuya Parish. The last member Sonny Nyeko will wed at Gulu Cathedral on 21st June, 2014.

To the choir, this Year and specifically the month of May which is also the Month dedicated to Mary our Mother is a blessing to them and they give glory and honour to the Almighty God for all the Good things that are happening to them and they pray that he continues to bless them each given year as they witness more of their members walking down the aisle.

I have so much attraction to the service of the church which i do so passionately. All my life, i have lived in the service of the Lord especially through singing in Church and this is my passion, I attribute all this to the foundation i got in my Primary school, St. Kizito Primary School which moulded me to love church service. Here, find reflections to improve your faith, I also invite you to join us at Mbuya and praise the lord. You'll love being part of our community.

I also invite you to promote this, our Parish website that gives us global outlook to enable us reach and evangilize to millions all around the world. You may do this through promoting the site to all your friends and families online and you may also donate to this project through the office of the Parish priest to enable us upgrade and keep uptodate with the Latest technologies.

May the Good Lord keep and bless you all the days of your life.
