My dear brothers and sisters! Congratulations upon the successful completion of the Lenten Journey. It has been an opportunity of creating more space for God in our lives. In that created space God re-creates us and awakens our sensitivity for the needs of the neighbour.

“Do whatever He tells you!” (John 2, 5)

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ! The Peace and Love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all!

I have very fond memories of the successful celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of our parish last year. The theme that accompanied us during last year was: “Journeying with Christ”. I am very sure that we have continued to journey with Him. This year’s Parish Day falls in a time when we cannot all gather as a parish community. The covid-19 pandemic has, in a way, scattered us. However, I strongly believe that we are spiritually united with one another.

My dear brothers and sisters!

Greetings to you all in the Name of the Risen Lord! It is my prayer and wish that the Lord continues to protect you wherever you are in this time of the Covid-19 pandemic. We have been separated physically, but spiritually we are close to one another through prayer. I am happy that many of you can follow the prayer moments that we stream live from the parish church.

Let us embrace God’s newness

Written by

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

It is again new year. The old has come to an end. God is renewing His yes to us as individuals but also as a parish community. He is giving us a new opportunity to see Him at work in our lives. It is in His presence that we live and move. Let us embrace this new year with joy.

The Word dwells among us

Written by

Dear brothers and sisters!

It is again Christmas. The four weeks of Advent have been an opportunity to prepare ourselves more consciously for the greatest birthday of all human history. This is because the one whose birthday we celebrate is fully divine and fully human. In fact, this invites us to contemplate what we celebrate at Chrsitmas: namely, the incarnation (becoming human) of Christ. God loved the world so much that He sent His only Son into the world, not to judge but to save the world (see John 3,16).

Public Way of the Cross

Written by

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ! In the three days (Easter Triduum) in which we celebrate the passion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, Mother Church offers us a possibility to live these mysteries of our salvation not as spectators or as mere fans of a celebrity, but as real participators. Jesus Christ attracted huge crowds during his ministry on earth. We ought to be aware that He was not interested in fans and cheerers, but in disciples. He repeatedly called his disciples to follow him (see Mt 4:9; Mk 1:17; Lk 5:27; John 1:43).

Message of the Holy Father Francis for Lent 2019

Written by

“For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God” (Rom 8:19)

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Each year, through Mother Church, God “gives us this joyful season when we prepare to celebrate the paschal mystery with mind and heart renewed… as we recall the great events that gave us new life in Christ” (Preface of Lent I). We can thus journey from Easter to Easter towards the fulfilment of the salvation we have already received as a result of Christ’s paschal mystery – “for in hope we were saved” (Rom 8:24). This mystery of salvation, already at work in us during our earthly lives, is a dynamic process that also embraces history and all of creation. As Saint Paul says, “the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God” (Rom 8:19). In this perspective, I would like to offer a few reflections to accompany our journey of conversion this coming Lent.

“Because of the increase of iniquity, the love of many will grow cold” (Mt 24: 12)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Once again, the Pasch of the Lord draws near! In our preparation for Easter, God in His providence offers us each year the season of Lent as a “sacramental sign of our conversion”.  Lent summons us, and enables us, to come back to the Lord wholeheartedly and in every aspect of our life.
