Baptism at Mbuya Parish
We’re delighted you’re considering baptism for your child or yourself at Mbuya Catholic Church! Baptism is a beautiful sacrament that marks the beginning of a lifelong journey with Christ and his Church.
Guidelines for Infant Baptism
– Parents and godparents must attend two catechism sessions before the baptism.
– Godparents must be at least 16 years old, confirmed Roman Catholics, and living in harmony with the Catholic Faith.
– Choose Christian names for your child from the directory of saints.
– Baptism instructions are held every 1st and 2nd Saturday at 3:00 pm.
– Infant baptism Mass is held every second Sunday at 1:00 pm and on Easter Monday and Boxing Day after the 9:00 am Mass.
Guidelines for Adult Baptism
– Adult baptism is held during the Easter Vigil Mass at 9:00 pm.
