Fr. Benedict’s Priestly Journey
Meet Father Benedict, whose journey to the priesthood began on Mission Sunday in 2003 with a simple desire to learn how to play the guitar. This sparked a deeper calling, leading him to:
– Postulancy in Malawi (2006-2009)
– Novitiate at William Nyadru in Lusaka (2009-2010)
– First vows in Lusaka on May 21st, 2011
– Scholasticate in Nairobi
– Mission experiences in Ombachi Parish, Arua (2012 and 2015)
– Final vows at Namugongo on April 30th, 2016
– Ordination as a deacon in Arua on May 8th, 2016
– Priestly ordination in his home parish in Kafue, Zambia on October 22nd, 2016
Ministry Assignments
Since his ordination, Father Benedict has served in various roles:
– Priest in Ombachi Parish, Arua diocese (2017)
– Formator at the Philosophy Centre in Jinja (2018)
– Vocations Director for Comboni Missionaries Uganda (2018-present)
